Coping Skills
Coping skills are an adaptation to environmental stress that is based on conscious or unconscious choice and that enhances control over behavior or gives psychological comfort. There are 5 types of coping skills that can help with times of need: problem-focused strategies, emotion-focused strategies, meaning making, social support, and religious coping. Below are some examples of common coping skills for adults and children.
